The European Division in DSV Road (UK) is searching for a new leader to join their strong professional team. The successful candidate will come armed with well developed Freight Forwarding skills to take on this exciting challenge - the overall objective being growth and development of the French, Italian and Swiss markets, through innovation and effective team work.

The Position

As the senior leader on site, you will be responsible for the full Profit and Loss of the French, Italian and Swiss trade lanes. As part of a team with the ambition to outperform the market by delivering growth exceeding 10% year on year, you will be competitive with a natural hunger for growth to build on the existing platform.

The Team

Supported by the Senior Director, you will be part of a proactive and courageous department where the driving force is their passion to expand. You will have the full support of a motivated operations team, (17 colleagues), who hold a solid background of operating Roundtrip trailers using Eastern European Sub contractors, coupled with the dedication to make things happen. In addition, you will work closely with our Sales colleagues in setting Tariffs and Service Levels as well as promoting innovation to secure larger Tender opportunities.

The ideal candidate

Applicants must have a previous experience operating an Eastern European roundtrip fleet.
Focused on delivering results with previous people management experience, coupled with five years solid experience in freight forwarding.
Resilient and capable of handling different pressures as well as knowing when to act and when to challenge our thinking.
Strong communication skills with a proven track record in problem solving.
Comfortable operating in a busy environment where you work independently and self-supporting with many tasks, managing your time to deliver both urgent assignments as well as long-term projects to deadlines.
