The Position

The role of the National Price Desk Manager is to support the business to deliver competitive & timely quotations to customers and the DSV network.

Key Tasks

  • Supporting sales organisation to target specific clients within their pricing requirements.
  • Maintaining national tariffs for our internal service levels according to expected market level and profit margins.
  • Improving relation and support provided to the branches for their quoting requirements in terms of key clients, internal performance, expected profit margins, win targets, etc.
  • Supervising quoting activity within CW1 for UK for department improvements and gain.
  • Updating DSV Central for overseas tariffs, local tariffs and pricing contacts for third party vendors all used within the team for quoting purpose.
  • To analyse and source new ways of working within CW1 in relation to the UK pricing product.
  • Providing monthly updates on LCL and Air Product for management to analyse internal improvements to be made on each product.
  • Monthly updates on department performance to the team and upper management.
  • Maintaining national tariffs for our internal service levels according to expected market level and profit margins.
  • Continuous training of staff to get an all-round know-how on all services and products within DSV.
  • Providing yearly analysis on the largest accounts within Price Desk for further analysis with the Account Manager to target business and gain more actual volumes.

The ideal Candidate

Commercially driven with effective communication skills at all levels within the business as well as the ability to manage a team.
Strong operational knowledge coupled with market & rate awareness.
Confident in your ability to handle and effectively develop opportunities for the company.
Previous experience leading, organising and motivating a team.
Structured in your work but at the same time adaptable in line with ever changing priorities to achieve deadlines.
